Question Advanced AutoParts Rotors

My car's rotors are starting to warp again and I don't think they have enough life in them to be turned another time, so I'm going to replace them.

I go to the track about 1-2 times every 3 months and my car's a daily driver. I was thinking of buying the house brand from Advanced Auto Parts for my car. I think the name brand was Bendix, but I'm not sure.

Have any of you had any luck with these and are they good enough for my car's needs?

Bendix isn't bad for a stock replacement. Usually part stores will have a cheap house brand and then a more expensive one. Its been my experience that the more expensive ones have more mass. Its worth the extra $10.

Question Re: Advanced AutoParts Rotors

Are 4 of these for $170 too good to be true?

They're just stock replacement blanks that someone machined and drilled. Nothing but driveway jewelry w/less mass than plain rotors.

He's right. You can't get 4 quality drilled and slotted rotors for that much. Drilled rotors are trouble anyway. I've never seen a drilled rotor that didn't crack when run hard. I run non-drilled Power Slot rotors. I've abused these within an inch of their lives and haven't warped one yet. I got four off Ebay for $350 (normal price $100-$125 each).

As far as the Advanced rotors. I've used them on dozens of customers cars with no camplaints. When you say track, you mean drag strip. Right??? If you autocross your car, I'd spend money for better rotors.

Yeah, I meant the 1/4 mile track, I should've specified.

It sounds like I'm going to go with the regular rotors, they seem more reliable and economical.

Re: Advanced AutoParts Rotors

I purchased 4 new rotors from them 2 years ago and I've had no problems with them. I believe they were called Wearevers. They were about 120 for all 4 and came with a one year waranty. The part numbers are YH141888 for rear and YH141868 for front.

If your not real abusive on the brakes, you'll be fine.
