What aplications require a adjustable TQ arm?

they are helpfull in drag racing because you can adjust neg pinion angle to help with your launch.

I think there are benefits for road racers as well, but I am not sure.

hmmm, well other than with a adj tq arm how else can you adjust the pinion angle? I ask because non adj tq arms are much cheaper than adj.

Only other option that come to mind is fabbing a new mounting bracket to lower the point TQ connects to arm, but even though your chaning your pinion angle your alos moving instant center as well that could offset and hinder performance. No real easy fix/fab job to save pennies with the design GM put into the car.
