Re: absinop light

You need to have the ABS module scanned to see what's going on. Double check your third bake light lamps and connections also.

Re: absinop light

Mine did that too. It finally just stayed on. I eventually shelled out $1000 to the dealership to have a new ABS computer installed. Hope you find a cheaper solution than that.

Re: absinop light

Are you sure the guy scanning it was aware it is OBD1 and what kind of scanner did he use?

Re: absinop light

im pretty sure it was a obd1 but not sure what brand it was. it was at advanced auto parts. autozone said they only do it free if the engine light is on.

Re: absinop light

Remove the ground stud by the positive terminal on the passenger side under the hood, sand all the connections, take a wire wheel to the stud itsef, and sand down the underlying paint to ensure a good ground. This is what fixed mine...

Re: absinop light

There is a ground stud on the right fender well that a bunch of wires attach to. He means to take it apart and clean it real good. I'd post a pic but this site doesn't allow that in the threads.
