Re: ABS relay?? Quick Question.

Relay's for automotive use aren't typically designated by "AMPS". Fuses have amperage ratings to prevent any damage to the wiring.
Relay's in vehicles have either 4/5 terminals depending on which brand the manufacturer used, if you suspect a relay is bad, buy another from a store and just plug it in.

Is there a problem with your ABS system? Is the relay clicking? You need to form a better understanding of what is going on with your vehicle for anyone to help you here.

Re: ABS relay?? Quick Question.

Relays are rated by the amperage they can safely switch without damaging the contacts. The most common automotive relay rating is 30 amps, but you can buy relays rated for different amperage.

It may depend on the year of the vehicle, which is not indicated, but my 94 ABS VI relay is part # 12088595, and is rated 12V 20/30A. Potter Brumfield part # VF4-15F21-Z01

Re: ABS relay?? Quick Question.

I no longer have abs. I just need one that is rated for 30A. I just thought i would use the extra abs relay if it was the right amperage. Mine is a 94 by the way. I will just pick up a known 30A one from the zone. Thanks guys.

Re: ABS relay?? Quick Question.

Some relays have diodes or resistors included to prevent severe voltage spikes when the coil is activated or turned off. The ABS relay has a diode, according to the schematic on the side of the relay.

Here's some good info on automotive relays, ranging from basic to advanced:
