Abs/parking Brake
I have a 97 Z28 W/O traction control, the issue i'm having is when ever I start the car with parking brake up I get a flashing low trac light and an ABS INOP, when I let the parking brake down the low trac light goes out but the ABS INOP light remains on. I took a shot in the dark and R/R'ed the parking brake switch with on change in the gripe, for 3 bucks it was worth a shot. Looking for a little insight

Most common cause of ABS INOP is a faulty wheel sensor or connection problem. But I think it can also be related to a problem with the center high mounted stoplight.
I'll move this to "Suspension, Chassis and Brakes" for you.

I have removed and cleaned the rear ABS sensor, the parking brake cable adjustment looks good. As long as I start the car with the parking brake down the ABS system will be normal. How does the center high stoplight come into play??
