3 brands of Ceramic breaks
Looking on summitracing.com it looks like they Friction master, EBC and Hawk for my car.
I started useing ceramics once I made the connection that the stock OEM Polaris ATV breaks and car/truck ceramic breaks are made of the same thing.
I knew there was no better way to stop after useing them on ATV's for so many years.
I have Friction Master ceramics on my 1984 diesel suburban. They are great.
the old breaks would break fade bad. The ceramics stop you good, they get hot they stop you even better.
The hawks are used by all the import guys I know. They like them alot.
Then there is EBC they are about $40 more then those other 2, don't know any one that has used them.
What do you think is the biggest difference between the two other then price?

Heck, I'm running a set of Satisfied (I think that's the make?! ) on my '02 Z28 that I bought at PartSource, and they work great! They were relatively cheap, and yet I've taken the car out on the track with them and had very little brake fade, and I've still run really strong and competitive . I'm sure the Hawk ceramics would be fine ... don't know what benefit there would be to the more expensive ones??

I think I will get the hawks. I talked to some more of those import guys today. They said the like the hawks because the don't put any break dust on their wheels.
In this case for some reason the hawks are a few $ cheaper then the friction masters on summitracing.com.
I am going to pick up a set of rebuilt calipers and reuse my rotors once I repack the bearings and replace the seal. No telling how old all those items are.
