ABS INOP update
ABS INOP update
Well today I received my new ebcm in the mail and it did not solve the problem. Perhaps there IS something wrong with a one of the wires going to my rear abs sensor. But let me give my great thanks for all those who tried helping me thus far, especially Steve and Dave.
Thanks guys

My light came on so much I just lived with it. I had no clue what it was. Finally, when I did a motor swap, I noticed the ABS wiring on the passenger side was burned from rubbing on the header and the wires were exposed and shorting out. I fixed the wires, put the motor in and no more light
It seems that often times there are indications that an ABS sensor is bad but the actual problem is just a poor connection at the connector. Pull the connectors apart, bend the tabs over just a tad so they make a "tighter" connection, plug it back in. I did this on my 95 Trans Am and my Low Trac and ABS lights did not come on again
I wonder how many people have spent $$$ unnecessarily on sensors when this was the only problem
It is pretty common.

Ya my pass front sensor wasnt totally seated, caused the front right to lock up under normal braking at times and the ABS INOP light to trigger. Funny thing is when i replugeed that in, my starter "clicking" and not starting when cold went away
Well it has been scanned so I already knew it had something to do with the rear sensor because it was constantly reading my rear wheels at 0 mph, causing the light to come on shortly after driving. Ive replaced the sensor and the ebcm, no help. I just moved the pins on the rear sensor, nothing. But theres so much, like the connector in front of the gas tank, that could be bad for all i know, plus Im not sure where else the wiring goes to follow it. Maybe one day I'll rip out my back seat and try to trace it.
