Strut tower Brace ... Do I need it

I have a 94 firebird formula with the following mod...

Full 3 inch Flow master exhaust system
Hi Flow cat converter
Mac Mid Length Header
2400-2800 Torque converter
FPTK K&N Filter
3.42 Richmond Gear
Spark plug and wire change
and much more minor changes

Do I need the Strut tower Brace ? I know it looks good having it installed but do I really need it?

I paid $62 for one. Is that a good price

yea why not put it on for 62$. some can go for 100-150$, so yea you got a good deal. i heard steering response is better with them...i would also look into subframe connectors....boy what a difference around turns and driving around. these will keep you body straight with less creaks

Wow that sure looks like a killer deal. Anyone else running these stbs? I can't really see there being a big difference among stbs, besides price.

Honestly I couldn't feel any difference really. Still probably good to have anyway.

Put it in and see if you detect a difference. Then you'll know the answer.

A shock tower brace could be helpful, but a strut tower brace won't help. You don't have struts.

I'll move this to the chassis/suspension/strock forum

For side-to-side and normal driving, they will help a lot. It ties the front part of the frame together and prevents it from flexing. For drag racing, I'd skip it.

Just curious, how much would you say that one weighs?

Yup.. I like the tighter turns now that my SLP version is in. Watch out for the AC line during install.
