Ok I installed Pacesetter mid-length header on my '94 T/A. Before headers no ABS Inop light, now it's on. I took off my AIR pump while I was doing everything. When I start the car it dosen't come on until I get on the car a little bit. Can anyone help me start tracking down what it may be?

 

Check to make sure your bake lights are all good. Mine came on and it turned out my third brake light bulbs were out.

 

The front ABS sensor harnesses run very close to the exhaust manifolds. Check that you have burned a wire or damaged them when installing the headers. Also make sure they're plugged in as there is a connector above 2 feet in from the wheels.

 

check the sensors at the disk's

 

Check for the connections at the ground cluster on the passenger fender well under the hood to be tight.

 

Plug wires are too close to the ABS unit. Happens all the time.

 

I would also check your fuses, I had a bad fuse when my "abs inop" light was on.

 

I also took the AIR pump off at the time I was doing the header installation. I read somewhere that the AIR pump system has something to do with the ABS system. After I took all the hoses off from the AIR pump I had one very small hose just hanging there that ran over to a hook up mounted on her inner fenderwell. Does anyone know what that is and does it have anything to do with the ABS?
