ABS Inop/ASR Lights

I was having brake problems, they kept slipping and every now and then the ABS Inop and ASR Light would come on. I filled up the brake fluid and now they are constantly on, the slipping has gone and I haven't had any issues, just the lights. Is it a ABS module or just a bad sensor? Its on 95 z28.

Is your brake warning lamp on as well? Does the ABS work or do you lock up under hard braking? How low was the fluid, i.e., did you get air into the system?

They brake decent, but they do lock up every now and then, just not as bad as before. I guess I didn't think about the air in the system. I'll have to double check. Thanks for the help!

Re: ABS Inop/ASR Lights

If you have air in the ABS pistons (by letting the brake fluid run dry in the master cylinder), the only way to bleed it once that happens is to have a Tech1/1A to rehome the motors.

Hey blackhawks, did you check your ABS fuse?

Re: ABS Inop/ASR Lights

I went to autozone asking about that, because the brakes weren't causing any issues that preventing me from stopping, of course the guy at autozone gave me a blank look. so I'm gonna check out the fuse before i do anything major.
