abs

when i drove my 94z today i noticed everytime i slow down i hear a rattle underneat the car it seems like is coming from the back. I thought it was maybe my exhause haggers rattling. Well before i got home my abs inop light came on and it started the rattle again the rest of the way home like one of the calipers may have been sticking. When i got home i checked and both front and the rear rotors looked and turn freely and when i put it all back together the abs inop light turned off. any idea on what is going on i'm new to the F bodys so any help would be wonderfull.

The ABS sensor for the rear axle is on top of the axle center housing. Make sure the wire harness is intact. All it is doing is sensing as toothed reluctor wheel bolted to the differential carrier. Hard to understand what would be rattling, other than the reluctor wheel, and I've never heard of that happening.

Moving to "Suspension, Chassis and Brakes".

Loose LCA bolts is a common source for rattles. Check all the bolts while you're under there.

it was a broken pinion ring it finally started vibrating toward the rear of the car and the drive shaft and rear brakes all checked fine so i took the cover of the rear end there it was a broken pieces of my pinion gear. thanks for your input guys.
