96 Z28 Lowering Springs

Anyone who has done this install(lowering springs)... is this a feasible diy install? what other components besides just the spring kit would a person need to be done right? about how long would this take? Tips??

Read this procedure and see if it looks like something you can handle. Ignore the parts that are peculiar to the QA1 shocks.

If you have to ask then I would get someone else to do it and get an alignment at the same time.

The rear is as easy as it gets but the front can be a pain, your mounts are probly shot also...... I like to use a real strut compressor for safty, have seen the type you rent at autozone break before and its not pretty

Yup, rear is relatively easy but front can be really difficult. You will need a spring compressor and an impact wrench for the fronts. The nut that holds the top shock mount onto the bracket is typically rusted and seized up and takes lots of liquid wrench and an impact. And be sure you align the shocks right in relation to the brackets.
