3rdgen brake pedal electrical question

this is on my 92 z28 but could apply to most any of the thirdgens and possibly 4thgens i believe.

can't think of the technical name but essentially the button that's electronically depressed when you press the brake pedal to work your tail lights is worn out, anyone recommend a good replacement. over the years buying cheap electrical replacements has caused more harm then good on my cars so i'm afraid to just order from oreily's or similar.. part store generic.

anyone had this issue and found a good fix for it?
