373 gears= better 60' times

Tell me if I am wrong 373=better 60' than 4.10s 60'.I currently have 4.10s and 315/35/17 bfg drag radials and makes launching the car hard like 2.2 60' times and thats a 3000rpm drop fethering it not to spin loose. WTF where are these 1.6 60' everybody is getting coming from. If figure I can just blame it on altitude.

You ought to just take some time and practice.

We have a personal LS1 car here that is all stock engine wize and pulls high 1.7's on DR's and has done a few 1.87's on Kumho's and remingtons. This is a 6 speed car w/ 4.10's.

3.73's are a better choice in my opnion for a automatic just due to the steep first gear.

Just practice though, or do a ride along with someone with a bit more experience that does pull good/decent 60's.

That 17 inch tire aint helping, not many folks can pull good sixty foots on a short sidewall like that.
Practice will help but my opinion is you will never pull a 1.6 sixty foot with a 17 inch tire, even a drag radial.

I pulled 1.60-1.70's with 17" BFG DRs for a long time, but it was not consistent at all...Recently switched to Strange 12 bolt with 3.73s and M/T Drag radials in the 255 50 R16s on stock 5 stars...Easy 1.55s all day long...Made 12 passes at a track rental a few months ago and went 1.55-1.57 on every run. Thats with both sway bars and 16x8s all around...Try the M/Ts in the 255 16s on stockers, you'll be happy....

I have plenty of practice. I don't really hear of any great RWD 60's where I am at, only on this forum do I read of peoples great 60's . I now remember I had limited slip problems that be the main reason, right tire fire. 81000 miles stock LSD I need a 12bolt.

With an A4 and 4.10's, I was cutting 1.9x's all day last summer. Best was a 1.92. This was on STREET TIRES (Hankook HR405's? ). I can't complain. Only problem is, I need a stall converter. I slapped on my DR's and actually only got a 1.96 60' time?! The engine needs to rev a little higher before the converter starts to grab.

All things being equal, 4.10's should net better 60's than 3.73's.
