2002 ws6 suspension and rearend

will the springs, shocks, and the rearend from a 2002 ws6 be a direct fit on my 97 z28?

if not and it is possible what will i need to replace to make it fit?

Springs/shocks will work, brakes are different, just swap your lt1 axles/backing plates on to the ws6 rear.

what if I would want to use the ws6 brakes, rotors, and calipers...

also I ditched my abs, so would I still have to switch axle/backing plates?

to be honest I don't know what the backing plate is...

any info is greatly appreciated.

Fyi: my friends hobby is buying these ws6’s and parting them out so if you ever need something just let me know… I should probably start a thread in the for sale section at a later date…

Then you need parking brake cables and brake lines from the ws6(or any 98 and up f-body with disc brakes) in addition to the entire brake set-up(calipers, rotors, all the bracketry etc. etc.), use the ws6 axles and backing plates that should already be on the ws6's rear.

You need backing plates, the backing plate is what the caliper/brakes bolt to, and if you have 4 ch abs(traction control) the abs sensor clips into.

I have a rear from an LS1 Firehawk in my car. like others have said, just make sure you get the e-brake cables with the rear. The rear end that I got was a 4 channel, and my car is a 3 channel so I just made some new brake lines for the new rear that imitated my old ones. As far as the ABS sensor, I just took the harness that used to go into the housing on my old rear and plugged it into the right rear wheel's ABS sensor.

Brakes work, ABS works, and I have LS1 brakes on all four corners of my LT1.
