2002 ws6 suspension and rearend
also I ditched my abs, so would I still have to switch axle/backing plates?
to be honest I don't know what the backing plate is...
any info is greatly appreciated.
Fyi: my friends hobby is buying these ws6’s and parting them out so if you ever need something just let me know… I should probably start a thread in the for sale section at a later date…
You need backing plates, the backing plate is what the caliper/brakes bolt to, and if you have 4 ch abs(traction control) the abs sensor clips into.
I have a rear from an LS1 Firehawk in my car. like others have said, just make sure you get the e-brake cables with the rear. The rear end that I got was a 4 channel, and my car is a 3 channel so I just made some new brake lines for the new rear that imitated my old ones. As far as the ABS sensor, I just took the harness that used to go into the housing on my old rear and plugged it into the right rear wheel's ABS sensor.
Brakes work, ABS works, and I have LS1 brakes on all four corners of my LT1.
