1992 camaro rear brakes piston problem

1992 camaro rear brakes piston problem

while removing the left rear brake shoes the piston rod came out and brake fluid leaked. should the piston be replaced and the system bled? Help....

Yes replace the wheel cylinder and bleed the system... Was the parking brake on???
