1967 quick ratio steering

Hello to all.

I'm new to the site. I recently purchased a 1967 Camaro drag car which is equipped with quick ratio manual steering. Was this available on all camaros, or was it used on z-28 only? If it was only available on z-28's, is there any other way to tell if this may have been a 1967 z-28. It still has a VIN, but the firewall tag is gone. Thanks in advance for your replies

Re: 1967 quick ratio steering

The Camaro White Book shows RPO "N44" - Special steering, quick ratio, $15.80, with 6,155 units sold. Since there were only 602 Z28's sold, it would appear it was widely available without the Z28 option. It further notes "RPO N44 (quick ratio steering) included quick-response steering, required power steering when air conditioning or 325HP engine was ordered."
