Is Your Rearend Hurtin'? Time For A Strange 12 Bolt or Dana S60!

The stock 10 bolt is the weak link in the Camaro/Firebird drivetain. We can help you take care of that!

Strange 12 Bolt -

Gear ratios available are 3.42, 3.73, 3.90 and 4.10. The 3.90s will be noisy so Strange doesn't promote this one. This rearend now comes standard with the Super Strength posi. Each one is shipped ready to be installed. You will just need to swap the brakes from your current rear. Shipping is freight collect for this product so you will need to take care of that with the driver when he delivers.

PRG210-PRGOP8 Fully assembled and dyno tested rearend (less brakes). Features include 3.150" ID housing ends, 33 spline S/S axles, 1/2" studs,33 spline Super Strength posi unit, choice of 3 channel (center) or 4 channel (axle) ABS ring installed, ABS sensor installed, choice of caliper mounts (1993-'97 or 1998-'02), U-1602 S-series yoke(1350), cross over U-joint, u-bolts, chrome cover and your choice of US Strange standard gear set - 3.42, 3.73, 3.90 or 4.10. (part # for cars with ABS sensor at the axles - usually for traction control cars)

PRG210-PRGOP-14 Fully assembled and dyno tested rearend (less brakes). Features include 3.150" ID housing ends, 33 spline S/S axles, 1/2" studs,33 spline Super Strength posi unit, choice of 3 channel (center) or 4 channel (axle) ABS ring installed, ABS sensor installed, choice of caliper mounts (1993-'97 or 1998-'02), U-1602 S-series yoke(1350), cross over U-joint, u-bolts, chrome cover and your choice of US Strange standard gear set - 3.42, 3.73, 3.90 or 4.10. (part # for cars with ABS sensor on the top of the pumpkin)

PRG230 Strange Race Setup w/Spool
(Not offered w/o Spool)
(Note: LS1 customers need to send in backing plates & caliper mounts if using stock brakes-ABS & TC will not work)

R5206 Upgrade to aluminum support cover (not available for the Dana S60) $114.99

gmbbp-tc Options: You will either need to send in your brake backing plates or you can purchase a set to be built into the rear (1998+). If your car has traction control you will either need to send in your backing plates & reluctor rings or purchase them separately. (Use this option if your car has traction control) $279.99

gmbbp-notc Options: You will either need to send in your brake backing plates or you can purchase a set to be built into the rear (1998+). If your car has traction control you will either need to send in your backing plates & reluctor rings or purchase them separately. (Use this option if the car does not have traction control but does have ABS) $229.99

OPRG13 Reluctor Ring Set $69.99

Dana S60 -

Dana S60 features -
35 spline axles
HD Posi
Chrome Cover
3 or 4 channel ABS

You will need to send your brake backing plates in just before the rear is built so they can be built into the rear. We can sell a new set to you separate. The stock driveshaft will need to be shortened by 1.625".

The following gear ratios are available - 3.54, 3.73, 4.10, 4.30, 4.56, 4.88, 5.87.

The weight difference between Dana 60 and 12 bolt is 20-25 lbs, the Dana is heavier. Dana rear is fully assembled with posi weights around 215 lbs and 12 bolt is around 189 lbs (weight with brakes). The weight difference between 12 bolt and 9" is about 12-15 lbs the 12 bolt being lighter.

Ring gear sizes:
12 bolts ring gear only 8.875 OD
9 ring gear is is 9" OD
Dana has ring gear of 9.75 OD which is alot stronger than 12 bolt & 9".
The standard Dana gear (not Pro) can withstand close to 1200 RWHP.

The True-Track is posi is standard along with Power-Lock. These are good for about 600rwhp. The Dana's posi is alot stronger than a 12 bolt and the 9". This is because the Dana Posi's are 35 spline, 12 bolt is 33 spline and the 9" is a 33 spline.

PRSF05 Strange Dana S60 (will need to purchase a new driveshaft or send yours in to be balanced with the new rearend)

Also, we are able to offer a slightly greater discount for orders that are placed by Friday, October 19th. These are probably the lowest price that we've had for these in years! Don't miss out!!!
