Same here, I've snapped 2 10 bolts on my current setup, and am about to add another 120rwhp. I don't think I want to spend 2800$ though. If I can get in on the GP, I'll buy a new one. If not, I'll keep searching the classifieds. People ask WAY too much for a used 12 bolt though it seems, and after this thread moser isn't an option anymore.

 

Tbyrne posted up the same deal on several other boards, but it seemed they didn't have any takers. I looked hoping I could come up with 2 guys from the other boards, but no luck.

 

No where does strange claim you can't use the stock driveshaft... I have the book right in front of me. Its totally plug and play, which is why it is better than a moser. You guys are doing this at a really bad time. My motor is costing me a fortune to get going. If you end up postponing this for a while, let me know, cuz I need a rear, but I can't pay for it right now.

 

I see that tbyrne is in Westport, MA. Do these orders come straight from Strange to our door, or do you ship them out from Massachusetts? If they come from you I'll save a ton on shipping by spending 72$ in gas and about 7.5 hours (roundtrip) driving and pick it up myself.

 

I believe they are shipped from strange. Thats how its used to be anyway. Would be hard to keep a stock of them since everyone has different needs on gears, etc.

They are deliverd directly from Strange in Illinois. I ordered mine on 3/13/2006 during Tom's last sale. I shipped my brake backing plates to Strange on 4/6/2006.

 

I didn't know you had to that with the Strange rear ends. So the backing plates would add another 220$ or so?

 

You only have to get backing plates if you have 4 channel ABS. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

 

Thats correct, only the 4 channel cars need to supply backing plates.
