New Stainless Headers?
New Stainless Headers?
I am interested in getting feedback from LT1 owners regarding their interest in new headers for the FBody in a Tri-Y design. We currently provide the original mild steel and the only Stainless Steel Tri-Y for the LT1 powered Caprice and Impala SS. We have seen terrific results with the Tri-Y design up through 6500rpm and can include all the appropriate emmissions hook ups as well as different Y-Pipe, cat and cat back systems.
Let me know your thoughts...

I would be skeptical to believe that a tri-Y design offers more power then mids or long tubes. Unless the design can offer really good plug access, good clearance and comparable power to headers all ready offered you are going to have a hard time trying to sell them.
Yes they do offer more power in those areas...we have seen this in dyno comparisons. Tri-Y's are a bit more challenging to build than a four tube. We have four tubes available at the moment.
If you’re trying to convince people that Tir-Ys make more power then you should show the comparisons, ie, the dyno graphs that show this. I didn’t know you had regular headers but I couldn’t find any information on them on your site, just a picture. Some things that you should list on your site should be what the headers are made of, primary size, do they include a Y pipe, installed pictures, and ground clearance pictures. That would be some very helpful information, especially for a company that is not well known and trying to attract new customers.
