Important Announcement From TBYRNE Motorsports on Sunday!

Just a quick post to build some excitement! We're going to be making an announcement on Sunday. That will be posted on the board and also on the opening page of our website. I don't want to get into the details yet but you know I have to drop a few hints. The first is that we're going to do something that everyone likes... that is save you money. It might be a little... or it might be alot. I think it will be alot for some products. We're also going to make some changes so that your shopping experience easier and more pleasurable. There is one other thing that I will tell you about, after all of these years we are now offering products on eBay. You can see links to those auctions on our website. More products will be added there daily!

Ok, I think that is enough hints for now. Look for our new banners over the weekend, check the announcement on Sunday and get ready to do some shopping!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Tom

I found it...... Do I get a commission for posting.........

9/16/2007 - This announcement has been hyped up for the last few days so it's time to let you guys/girls know what we have going on. The first thing seems to be the most important to customers. That is pricing. It's a very competitive market and the economy really isn't that great right now so customers are watching their pennies. We usually post alot of sales but... it's time to kick things up a few notches. By doing that we actually won't be posting as many sales. We're going to be focusing on everyday low pricing. This way we can provide you with a great price for the products your looking for on the day that you want to purchase them. No need to wait for a sale or a group purchase! There are times when we will be able to offer a deeper discount for a group purchase but the savings might not be as much as your used to seeing because our regular retail will be lower.

I wish there was an easy way to advertise the prices that we will be offering but alot of manufacturers have a M.A.P. (Minimum Advertised Pricing) policy that vendors are supposed to follow. Some don't care what price is advertised. Vendors could sell a $500. product for a dollar and it wouldn't matter. This is becoming very rare through. Some don't want their products advertised below a certain price but it doesn't matter what price vendors quote through e-mail or over the phone. Some don't want any discounts put in writing but discounted prices given out over the phone are ok. And finally, there are some manufacturers that have a certain price set and vendors aren't supposed to discount below that. Vendors that do can lose their ability to sell that brand. So because of the M.A.P. policies, we have to ask you to contact us to receive a quote for the products that you are interested in. I know this can be a pain and I apologize for that but that is what we have to do for now. We are working on ways to make this easier for you.

Most of the prices listed on our website are at the lowest level that manufacturers allow us to advertise. You can receive a quote by giving us a call on the toll free line (1-877-TBYRNE / 1-877-482-9763) or sending an e-mail to tbyrne@tbyrne.com. If you e-mail, please let us know what you are interested in and also include a phone number that we can contact you at. We will give you a call if we aren't allowed to provide the discounted price in writing.

There might be times when another vendor has a price that is slightly better. We can try to work with you on that! Our old Price Match Plus Policy has changed. It is now called the Best Price Policy because we're going to try to provide you with the best price available along with great customer service (more on customer service later). That policy is -

If you find a current lower price that we can verify we will not only meet it, we will also try to beat it for you! This applies to most products that we carry. Just let us know about this when or before you place your order. We'll need either a direct link to their advertised price or a copy of their e-mail/PM with the pricing. We'll even go off phone quotes sometimes!

*Excludes E-Bay

Their price no longer has to be something that is openly advertised, the company no longer has to be an authorized dealer for the product that they are selling and the owner of the company didn't have to eat Cheerios for breakfast. We're making it much easier than before! There might be times when the vendor's price is way off. Say it's something that usually sells for about $900. and they are listing it for $500. That price is waaayyy off and would be a great deal if they will honor it. We really can't be losing money like that.

And the last thing about pricing is eBay. After all these years we are now listing some products on eBay to expand our market. You will be able to get some REALLY good deals on those items at times (stock before price increases, close-outs ect...). Current listings can be seen off the opening page of our website. It's updated a few times per week and will be good to watch.

The next thing that is important is customer service. This should probably be #1 but I find that alot of customers go for price first and service second. Unfortunately, no matter how hard a company tries there will always be a transaction that just doesn't go right for some reason. In the end, the company usually isn't judged by what the problem was, they are judged by how they handled it. I'd be lying if I said all of our transactions are perfect but we are doing our best to earn your business. And that is what it's about - earning your business!!! There are many vendors to chose from so we want to give you many reasons to shop with us and also recommend us to your friends. We listen to customer feedback and apply it when we can. Suggestions for free parts and free installations probably won't be used . Some customers have mentioned that they had extended hold times when they called in. That will be changing. We're going to have more people on the phones plus you'll be able to get me on the line more too!

We have an installation offer available for customers in the New England area and customers that would like to take a little ride to see us. That is 20% off our regular installation rates for appointments that are booked now through October 31st. We're about 35 minutes east of Providence, RI and a little over an hour south of Boston.

This is turning into a novel so I'm going to wrap things up here. In closing I'd like to thank everyone for taking the time to read this. Great prices and service are what we are here to offer you. And as mentioned above, we want to EARN YOUR BUSINESS!

Have a great day!
