GMR SPEED turbo soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to tell everybody about our single front mount turbo setup that is in the works. Its almost complete, just finishing up some tuning. It has a Precision T-61, front mount intercooler, complete 304 s/s piping,t-bolt clamps, turbonetics wastegate and BOV, alt relocation bracket, all oil lines, air filter, nuts and bolts. It has everything you need to install it and drive. You will need a 255 fuel pump 42lb injectors and a tune to complete the setup. Will keep you posted on the numbers. Price is going to be under $4000.00 for the basic street setup. Give us a call for more info...1-866-899-4948 Thanks

Re: GMR SPEED turbo soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we just got done tuning our bone stock LS1 A4 tran am with our front mount turbo kit. With 5lbs of boost we got 406rwhp and 476rwt SAE. Air fuel is at 11.5 with 17deg of timing. We were running 93 octane which limited the timing, for now. Will post the graph and hopefully video soon. This is a basic bolt on street kit. Call for more questions....THanks Joel at GMR

Re: GMR SPEED turbo soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

about how hard is the install going to be? Like if you can install headers can you install the kit? Not sure if I would want to change headers again though.

Re: GMR SPEED turbo soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its about the same as a headers install. Except you have to run some oil lines and remove the front bumber to get the intercooler on.

Hmm.... are you guys going to be selling the FMIC set up by itself? I would be insterested in knowing if it'll work along with my ATI D1 set up with a little fabrication.

Re: GMR SPEED turbo soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the intercooler will fit the camaro. On the trans am you have to move your fog lights out a little to get the intercooler to fit. We wanted to make the kit so you can keep your fog lights. It looks alot better with them in then out.

We will be selling the intercooler seperate for people who need one...as your case. The intercooler is bar&plate with 3" in and out. Mounting holes and hardware will be included.

Intercooler setup with all mounting brackets,2-90deg bends 4 straight couplers, and 8 t-bolt clamps is $319.99 or $489.99 for all intercooler piping intake to turbo.
If you need more piping let me know.

Thats cool, I showed my friend with a 2000 SS that video, nows he's set on getting that set-up. How much do you expect the LT1 set-up to make? I know supercharged LT1's don't really last long but will your set-up be more friendly?

Thanks ....as for the Lt1 setup. Its still up in the air on what its gonna make. Im thinking it will still be 5psi for the street kit though. It will be pretty much the same abuse as a supercharged lt1, but the engine wont have to work as hard to make the power, sense turbos are free hp without any drag turning a blower.

How do the turbo headers work? Do you just bolt up your stock y-pipe back on?? Also down here in Florida there is no emmissions testing, can you get the headers without emmissions fittings??

The driver side header is a log style headers the passanger side is your factory manifold. There is a crossover pipe that goes into the driver side header. There are no air fittings on the header, but can be put on if needed.

As for the max psi....7lbs before you need to upgrade the turbo to a t-67 then if you need more air you can get a t-76. Just hope you got a built bottom end for it. Hope this helped. joel
