I just talked to dave as well. I am gonna wait out to see what kind of deal they can give us. from what ive heard many times as well the dmh is the best hands down. Do, they have a light that tells you when its open and closed. I liked that feature but, only the mccord and qtec have that i think. Does anyone know whether it has one or one can be added or ordered with it? Thanks, Michael

I have one for my borla and it does not come with a light but you can tell that its open. (It does come with a nice black rocker switch and some nicely SEALED 12 ft of wires and plug in connectors for a very easy install) It only takes LESS than 3 seconds to open it, I know I have tested it Many, many times in the 3 weeks that I have had it

To me the light would be useless because if it only take like 2.5 seconds to open it or to close it then I really dont see a need for a light and if you cant tell that your cutout is open (then you must have some severe hearing loss or sometin')

But you may want to check with DMH to see if he can make one with a light for you if you really want it.

thx,
Claude

No, I already lost my hearing in my right ear from the cutout, so its hard for me to tell if its open or not. I know what your saying. The light is basically just to tell if its completely shut or when its completely open. Now that I think about it, it is kind of useless, since you gonna know whether its open or not. duh! Does it have built in stops, so it doesn't keep spinning around. I know the mccords have special circuitry or somtin to stop it so it doesnt hurt the motor or somtin. I do like that switch though, it would look good right under my cigarette lighter. thanks, Michael

The cutout itself has stops moving when closed if you are pushing it to close because of the design but the switch does not. It only opens or closes in like 2.5 seconds so all you have to do is hold the switch down for like 3 seconds tops to open or to close it. As long as you dont continously open and close it while HOLDING the switch for like 15 seconds each way, you will not destroy the motor but holding the switch down for like 15 seconds when opening or 15 seconds while closing it REPEATLY, time after time again will result in a fail motor. You just need to excersise some common sense when using it. If you really want the light feature then I think you should talk to dave cuz I am sure if you really want it he may be able to do something for you.
But as for quality goes, trust me, when I say all of his parts are better than the rest.

Thx,
Claude

I think you can buy it in different sizes in order to fit different exhaust setups. The Mac y pipe is 2.5 inches if im not mistaken, I would assume the orp is the same. Where are you thinking about putting it? right in the orp?

I've been wanting one of these for sometime now.

Is there anyway to make it adjustable for the borla one? Like having the blade partially closed?

Dave
