Who's going to the MSCC event this Saturday?

Just wondering who's going. Hopefully we'll see a couple people from the Gainesville area.

All info can be found at www.martinsportscarclub.com .

It's free to come watch even if you don't run.

hehe I was jsut going to post the same exact topic. I jsut prepaid through paypal, 2 min. ago. Earlier today I realized it was this friday and figured I better get going, I had pre-registered awhile back, but jsut got around to paying.

I plan on being there, hopefully I will have no need for 1st gear, on this course if the course is as long and sweeping as I think maybe I wil do decent in my class, I am pretty sure I will take the 2.5RS on the straight aways I am about .5-1 second faster then them in the 1/4, and my car likes more long wide sweeping corners. hmmm.... gonna be hard to calculate some gas situation, its a really ong drive to judge what I will need to end up with a half tank at the track, ohh well guess I will wake up extra early and go.

If I start cleaning out my trunk now, it should be relativesly clean by Saturday.

Funny how I am so broke I am living off of popcorn form the theater, and free food we trade with for the last 4-5 days but I can scrounge up the $40 bucks I need to drive across the state and beat the **** out of my car racing.

I ahve a poly torque arm bushing, rebuilt tranny, new clutch, adn hawk pads, maybe I will see a differnence.

I'll bring professionally brewed coffee for you Jen. But only if you race. J/K. And maybe even some krispy kremes too.

Chuck, you always do right by us shade-loafers with the coffee and doughnuts.

Wish I could race the Chicken, but I just had her painted and she still needs some work done internally. That clutch that was put in last December is already bad, and I have an exhaust leak at the manifold that must be fixed asap.

You know how it is with these cars. Fix one thing and three more go wrong.

Listen to Jen she's always got an excuse not to run her car...j/k

We need to run again...I never got to run you while my car was running good, consistant 13.5-13.6@100-102mph arond that area. Well I did the converter and my best run so far on the converter has been a 13.8 and my best mph on the converter was something like 100.5. I'm hoping it's just a combination of weather and traction issues, but I'm starting to dought it.

It could be though. Now that it's startin to get cooler at night if I make a WOT pass 2nd gear is startin to feel more and more like I rememberit to be when my baby was running good. Rear end squats gown nice and tight tires bark nicely and throw the back end out a lilttle.

The thing I would like to be back so I know she's running good is my third gear chirps. I use to love barking the tires into third especially at the track. Haven't done that in a while though.

Yeah I noticed its been getting cooler too, leaving work at 4am one night the car was feeling good.

pffft....clutch going out? Mine was down to the rivets, and grinding the flywheel, and my tranny had no reverse, and synchros made it veeeeery hard to slam into second and near impossilbe to downshift into second and I still race it

Course now that is all fixed.

hey Chuck now that I have reverse maybe I can park with therest of the cars, without fear of getting stuck where I have to put the car in reverse, cuz now it will actually go in reverse.

jsut rembered Ineed to finish my battery strap down. This one looks semi-professional opposed to my yellow rope and broken paintstirrers

Okay. Now if you wash that thing, I'll let you park it next to mine.

Chuck, what time you all going up there? Maybe I could follow you all. After all, I'm on the way.

Blah blah blah. I don't run my car unless she's running well. Otherwise, what's the point? To get a crappy time and then really get made fun of or worse yet break something? No thanks. She's the only Chicken I've got, and I'm not screwing that up. Love her to much to abuse her.

When she's back in top form though, I'm puttin' it on your azz.

I'm actually heading up on Friday night and staying at the KOA in Starke, Friday and Saturday nights. What a cheapskate!

You're still bringing the chicken right? There's a Kart guy in the club that has a purple (I think) Firehawk. I think it's a 96 but I'm not sure. He'll probably bring his kart though, but ya never know. He has run it in the past.

See ya Saturday. Be there early. We start running at 9:45.

Allow 2-2.5 hours taking the turnpike. Get there as soon as you possibly can though. We want to have all the cars through tech by 9:15 or so.

Chuck, I know that guy. I can't remember his name for the life of me, but he hands out trophies and stuff. He has a very pretty Chicken. Hope he brings it out!

Ok, so anyone besides cheapskate wanna caravan up there with me? I can meet you at the exit for SR326 on I-75 at whatever time you tell me to be there. Just let me know.

Also if any of you are interested, you're welcome to come back to my house after if you want to hang out and just chill or whatever. I'll be heading downtown about 9:30pm for our club meet and streetracing action. TONS of cars if anyone wants to tag along. Looking forward to Saturday!
