If the weather stays good I might go tonight since I didn't end up going last week-what time does the track open (Orlando Speed World)?

I think gates open a 6:30 racign starts at 7. There will be a good number of F-Bods out there. And probably all the mustang crowd as usual. If I remember correctly, the midnight drags are tomorrow, so hopefully that will mean not a lot of imports tonight. I'll be planning to go after work and get there aroudn 8:45 or so.

I'm hoping I can make it out tonight to see if I can't improve my times. Car has LT's & ORY now, and its over at Next Level Performance getting tuned this very moment. If i can finish up this paper for school and pick up the car in time, I'm gonna head out there tonight.

 

I hope to see some improved numbers over the already great times you had.

 

They open at 6, I say get there around 5:30-5:45(first off because something always comes up and makes you a little late)

They open between 6-6:15 generally, sometimes a little later, if you are in the front of the line, you get to go throw tech in like 1 minute, go park, finish any last minute prep, and let your car cool down even more, look at the other cars that pull up and run, If they start running and not too many people are there right away(the tech line gets really backed up) sometimes you get 2 sometimes 3 runs pretty close to each other. So 2-3 runs by 7-7:15

 

I'm not going afterall-my brother got rained on a little on his way home from work in that area-don't want to waste a trip all the way down there for nothing.

I'm the only one in this thread that was there. My times are very sad. This was my 2nd trip to the track with my car. My 18"s and my lack of drivign skills won't even get me into high 13's. I'm just gonna keep going untill I get the technique down.

 

It does take practice. You probably don't have much of a sidewall if you're running 18s, that could be hurting your traction.
