What auto insurance do you guys use?
What auto insurance do you guys use?
I need to get new insurance, Progressive is being a PITA. The big problem I had was I had an accident about 2 years ago that was originally named as my fault(cause I was backing out, though it wasn't my fault), but I took it to court and got the decision reversed, but Progressive won't honor that for some reason, even though I sent them proof. So I need to go to a new insurance company, because I'm pretty sure when they go to look up my record there will be nothing there(I have nothing else on my driving record).
So who has good rates and good service? I've not ever had anyone but progressive, so I don't even know where to start.
Thanks

GEICO is a good company to deal with and their customer service is excellent, I highly recommend them.
My parents have been with them for 25 yrs. and they have a SUPER low rate for all of their cars. When my car was on their policy, it was about 3-4 times the cost of theirs to insure, and I only had two tickets (not with this car) that I went to traffic school for.
Now that I have my own policy with GEICO, I actually pay $4 less per month then when I was on my parent's. I qualified for an alumni association discount and I'm still getting the good student discount from them, even though I graduated.

i just went with them because it was the absolute lowest rate i could get with the type of coverage i wanted. all the other places wanted to rape me (with no lube even).
I second Geico. My insurances rate with Progressive for my old Cavalier was only $30 less than my rate at Geico with both my Cavalier and my Z. A good driving record and student discount helped too
Once again I'ss say it... esurance.com. Fully researched with the state insurance board, the better business bureau, and their parent company. They are almost half what I was paying at State Farm for the exact same coverage. I added a car and changed a car from the convienience of my computer, paid online, and am able to print insurance cards within 24 hours of changing a car....
$899 every six months for 4 cars, all full coverage. My Z28, Trans Am, XTerra, and my wifes Mustang....her car was $950 a year alone at State Farm. Geico couln't even have touched it, and I filed a claim against them a few years ago, and I almost had to get a lawyer. They save their money by trying not to pay out even when their insured are admittedly at fault.....

lmao...damn you guys......my 95 T/A is $229 a month w/esurance.......the other companies wanted over $300+ a month.
I've been with First Floridian for 3 years now, and they actually just sent something the other day saying I would be getting a discount because of it. I believe they keep their rates low because they only insure in the state of Florida, but they're a Travelers company so they're not some mom and pop organization. Definitely worth checking out IMHO.

You must be a bad driver. I pay $670/ 6 months for a 93 Z28 with 64,000 miles-full coverage at Geico. That's only $111.76/month.Don't get tickets or hit people and you really save

but the killer is that ive been hit 3 times.......never my fault.......but it still hurts your rates.
trust me when i say $229 is saving for me............the other companies wanted way more.
Oddly enough I only have one ticket in the last 3 years *knock on wood* (well on record
)
and I just went threw with my dad to see what some of the bodily injury quotes I shoudl have and my quote was $972 from Esurance.com for 6 months...
not too bad, pretty much full coverage with a $500 deductable...
But whats wierd I redid it without my ticket to see the difference and it was the same thing
The computer only reads it as a ticket of 15+ over the limit... well lets just say I was going 92 for that ticket, and I guess it was just 15+ over the limit
