Track tonight?

Myself, audiopro (Greg), and my friend Brian w/ a red WS6 will be there. Just wondering if anyone else is going.

Re: Track tonight?

Results? I hope the track was prepped decently tonight, cause if so, you should have some good #'s. If I didn't have family in town, I would have been out there. Everytime I floored it in 2nd gear tonight, the tires would get loose on me. Cold weather + these headers = way more power than before.

Anyhow, what did you guys run?

Re: Track tonight?

First time out to a track in about ten years, so first runs ever with this car...

First Run (Hit the brakes before finishing, didn't know where the end of the 1/4 was)
60' 2.169
13.615 @ 91.01 (ha ha ha, stop laughing!)

Second Run (Okay launch, still a little spin)
60' 2.054
13.149 @ 107.88

Last Run (Spun REALLY bad)
60' 2.196
13.373 @ 107.86

Not bad I think for my first time out, crap tires, and only a lid and catback... The last run I raced Brian (86 IROC, not Red WS6), who came out on top at 13.113 @ 108.73... Had a good time tonight, thanks again for inviting me out B!!

Re: Track tonight?

1st pass: 2.084 60', 13.229 @ 107.37 MPH WTF?!

2nd pass: 2.105 60', 13.124 @ 109.09 MPH - unplugged the MAFT.

3rd pass: 2.089 60', 13.113 @ 108.73 MPH - same as 2nd pass.

All runs on my regular street radials, Goodyear F1 D3's - 245/50-16. I think my lack of tune is way off - and the key to me running much faster. Also, my tranny effs up on the 1-2 shift, acts like it's banging off the rev limiter every pass. Had a good time, but a tad aggrivated w/ my automatic right now.

Re: Track tonight?

1st pass: 10.5 @137mph - This run was kinda funny/embarrassing as I did a 1/2 launch off the trans-brake and the force launched the rear-view mirror off it's mount. Trying to avoid the airborne but still tethered mirror, I also accidentally hit 2nd off the line (reverse valve body TH-400) as I was planted in my seat. "Quickly" downshifted to 1st and proceeded to feather the throttle down the rest of the track...

2nd pass: 11.4 @136mph BLOWING the tires off in 1st AND 2nd on a near-full trans-brake launch and again sliding my way down the rest of the track...

Looks like it's time to pull out the 10.5Ws vs. the regular 10.5 ET Drags for a little more footprint and bump those front shocks up some clicks to further plant the rear...
