Guy told me they had over 350 cars there I guess I don't feel to bad about my time 14.53 @97.90! 60' 2.315 r/t 1.236 I was a little dissapointed, but this is my FIRST TIME EVER at any track!Ive only had the car a couple of months. I spun thru 1st broke loose in 2nd But the car was pulling HARD So I think if I "learn" how to drive it I should be able to at least get high 13's (Also running on factory plugs and wires 86,000 miles) I only got in one run
Not bad, Shawn! The mph shows you could have very close to a 14 flat or high 13 second car. The 60' is bad enough it could actually be affecting your mph slightly. I'll also give ya some pointers to get your reaction time down a bit next time we talk

Congrats! Now that you've got the bug, we'll have to go up to Gainesville for some test and tune!

Talk to you later!

Hey Homer ... er .. I mean Brent ... I see you're still alive and kicking around. Still glow in the dark I hope. Have you completed any changes to your cars yet? I know you had some big plans but I haven't heard from you in a while. Just wondering how things were going. I've been sitting at home for the last 2 months recovering from back surgery (fused 2 vertebrae and added a titanium plate, lightweight for speed). Haven't been allow to drive a car since the surgery so I'm going nuts around the house. I have been thinking about trying a larger diameter intake tube for the SC to see if I get more airflow and maybe more boost. Did you ever try that Brad Brand tube on yours? I found a place to get mandrel bent tubing in up to 4" diameter so I might give it a shot anyway. It's either that or switch to a Vortech and pulley it for 12 lb. Shot me an email if ya feel like it.

In case you didn't know, there is an F-body meet at Bradenton Raceway on Oct 26 with a picnic on Sunday the 27th at Fort Desoto in St. Pete. More info available at BADRAP.net I don't know if I'll make it to Bradenton or maybe go up to Gainesville for Super Chevy Weekend. Depends on if I can drive my T/A by then or not.

Later ... Larry S.

Hey Larry!

Ouch! That back surgery... yikes. Hope all is going well!

I don't have a lot completed on any of my projects However, I've just doubled my projects load. LOL! I bought Jason Debler's car and now have two nearly complete killer forged engines in the garage... a 383 and a 396. One for the 94Z and one for the 96SS I have a stock complete 96 LT1 with only 26,000 miles I'm going to put back in the 96SS which has only 26,000 miles. Almost like that engine was meant for that car

I'm building a garage and had decided to hold off on the projects until I get the garage built and have a place to work on stuff. I did get the Mufflex 4" exhaust and Hooker long tubes installed in the 94. It sounds like a late model and revs just as quick! Should be interesting with the new engine!

As for the 26th, I took off work to go up to Gainesville for the weekend for the Super Chevy show. So, as of now, I do plan on going to that event so won't be able to make it to Bradenton But, who knows, if something does happen I don't go to Gainesville, Bradenton will be an option!

Oh, you probably haven't seen the SS. It has gone through some changes Take a look!

If you end up coming up to the Super Chevy show, definitely let me know!!!

As for the Brad Brand tube... nope, still on the shelf. In fact, I now have TWO of these tubes. One for each engine (got one with the car from Jason). LOL!

Talk to you later buddy!

Brent ... I like the new yellow look. Is that the Black 96 converted to yellow? I didn't join the site (way too much legal junk in their agreement for me) so all I saw was the intro photo up front. I'm thinking I'll be at Gainesville since I don't think the back will really be good be then. I'll try and email you before then and maybe we can swap cell phone numbers and hook up at the show.

Later ... Larry S.

Yep, it's the black 96SS!

Here are some lower quality pictures and details of the repaint... it'll give you a better idea than that little thumbnail

Shoot me an email with your plans when you're ready!

Hey anasazi, yeah, I've got to make it down there sometime! Heck, I've got a very good friend in Orlando who I've been promising to visit for a long time and STILL haven't got down there. ARGGHH!!! One of these days
