I'm thinkin' about it. Looks like the rain might stay away for today . Who knows when that'll happen again. The wife might have other plans for me though. Especially since I'm planning on running the SCCA autocross at VCC on Sunday.

I have to budget my fun. Only allowed to have so much, ya know.

 

im taking the trip there. hopefully it wont rain. it would be nice to meet some of you f-body guys. see you guys tonight.

Can someone tell me how to get there??!! Coming south on Turnpike? What time open/close?

It's not the cheapest way, but it's your best bet. Exit the turnpike at the SR 408 exit. Take the 408 (toll road) Eastbound to SR50. (maybe 15-20 miles or so) East on 50 a few miles. It's on the right and very hard to miss. Speedworld. Stay to the right side of the entry street and pay at the little shack.

 

Oh! and they're open till 10:00.

 

damn it was crowded last night... i only got 3 runs in before i gave up and went home

what time did u leave?! after my second run went looking for u but i guess u had already left. best time of the night for me was 14.3 @ 101.3 i cant believe how crowded it was, i was hoping for more than 3 runs. im not going back till i get some drag radials my 2.5 60's just arent cutting it!!!

 

You did better than me. I only got one run. I got there at 7:00. I ran for the first time just at 9:00. Then I caught my kids climbing on the supports under the grandstands. So home we went. I had absolutely no traction. Spun bad off the line and for about a second and a half into 2nd. I even launched at 1500 inatead of 2000. I ran a 14.28 at 100.8. Boo hoo. Oh well. I got out of the house.

 

No wonder I didn't see any of you guys, You all left before I got there! I got there around 9:20 They closed the lanes at 10:00! Guy told me they had over 350 cars there I guess I don't feel to bad about my time 14.53 @97.90! 60' 2.315 r/t 1.236 I was a little dissapointed,but this is my FIRST TIME EVER at any track!Ive only had the car a couple of months. I spun thru 1st broke loose in 2nd But the car was pulling HARD So I think if I "learn" how to drive it I should be able to at least get high 13's (Also running on factory plugs and wires 86,000 miles) I only got in one run

 

high 13's ARE possible on a stock LT1 car on street tires. i know this because i did it

gotta get a good 60 foot time though


i don't remember what time i left, i think it was about 8:30'ish i think. at the very end of the staging lanes there wern't really set lines... and when people just started cutting in front of eachother and i saw some close calls i figured it was time to leave.

 

Like I said this was my first time ever at a track! I pulled into the lanes and had no idea what so ever if I was even in the correct lane, But I kept inching forward and sure enough I finally made to the moment of truth I was so nervous never having "legally" raced! And never even street raced this car I havent had it long enough to get "used to it" yet, But NO I'm not trying to make excuses for my time thats what I ran, and now it's just a challenge to try to beat it I had such a blast though! The addrenaline rush was awsome

 

yeah i noticed everyone was lined up right on the lines, and it seemed like one big clump of cars. i had my car parked and walked away for a few min, on the way back this kid in an itegra decided to take advantage of the car length ahead of me by pulling out from behind me and cutting me off! i decided to stay, i was determined to get my time down! i dont think i ended up leaving till almost 10:30

I might have seen you there! I saw a couple of Z's and a bunch of TA's I can't exactly say I saw you. I had the Black TA of course. I have the clear taillights and Eniki rims and limo tint. I was looking for people from the board, But all I could remember was 2 people's descriptions "Orange car Orange shirt" And "2Fast4u" on someone elses back window. But I did'nt walk away from my car, so I could'nt see anyones back window if they were behind me! I was trying to figure out where I was supposed to be, If I was in the right lane ect...
