Cool Time for a new shifter

I've finally had enough of this Hurst shifter! It was very difficult to get 4th gear last Friday at Bithlo. I ground it once. The next time I ran, I hit 2nd coming out of 3rd. SHNIKEYS!!!! I'd have to kill myself if I blew my SS drag racing a 15.5 second Focus. DER!

I jabbed the clutch back in before it revved too high. But jeeze this shifter has got to go. It has yet to flow smoothly into any gear. And I've tried for 4 months now! It hits in neutral and sticks before it finally hits the next gear. And 4th is a real PITA. I never had to grab 4th in a hurry before. But I put my Yokohama autocross tires on the back. They're a bit smaller than the F1's so I had to hit 4th.

My big question is ... Does anybody local have the B&M Ripper or the Pro 5.0 that I could sample? Or any other shifter that they are happy with for that matter. I'm not wanting to install it on mine. I just want to see how smoothly it shifts in your car.

373 rear.
Eibach(type) springs

When I start my car in the morning, my neighbors DO think the world is coming to an end!

My car has a B&M Ripper in it, you probably had other things on your mind when you drove it though. Next time I see you I'll let you drive it again if you want.

However its the same shifter LT1 vs LS1 but I dont know if it would "feel" different in your car. Plus I know B&M has changed the design since I got mine ~2yrs ago.

I've never tried a factory Hurst but it was light years better than the stock shifter.

The stick part isn't the problem. It's either the ball section not lining up good or it's internal. I just figured I might see how a different shifter worked before I send the car back for a tech to monkey around with the tranny.
