Great, now go get 'em detective.

I've been approached by them before, but they were in a white Montero. The guy told me at a stoplight that he just got back from Circuit City and bought too much and wanted to know if I wanted to buy some speakers cheap, come on...

HEY! I had some guys in a white van tr to sell me some stereo equipment before...and this was a couple years ago at a shop I was working at in Tallahassee! Dunno if they're the same guys, but a white van, stereo equipment, and something about 'surplus'.

What a crock.

no s**t i live in montreal , canada. about 2-3 years ago there was guys doing the same thing. just driving around parking lots asking people if they wanted to buy some of the "extra" speakers and stuff they had. the same guys had stopped me like 3 times both times, i was like "dude, youve already asked me before" dumbasses.

now, my question is, does the stuff these people sell actually work? or is it all busted crap? was always curious to know.

OMG thats crazy!! I got approached by some guys probably about a year or so ago one day when i was going to see my buddy at work, right in Deltona/Orange City and they were next to me on Saxon Blvd. and they kept yelling at a light "hey man, u wanna some free equipemnt" etc. same scenerio thou 2 guys in a white like cargo van just driving around, it took me like a good 20-25 minutes to shake them, they were so persistent on getting me to buy their stuff it really started pissin me off....

Their stuff usually works(I don't know if some of them sell busted stuff or not) but it's just not worth what they say it is. For instance, they'll tell you they have this pair of $1,000 home speakers that they'll sell you for like $100. In actuality they're $30 speakers and even though they work you would have just paid like 3 times what they might be worth RETAIL, so they probably cost them like $2. That's a pretty nice profit margin. I hope they run into me sometime, I'll find some way to block them in and call the cops

I actually bought speakers from these guys a long time ago. I paid $100 for each. Two years later my apt. was burglarized. I showed the insurance company pictures of the boxes and told them how much I paid. I got $600 each from my insurance company for the speakers NNo BS. They were worth the $200 while I had them, the $1200 was a nice bonus.
