well i went to a florida mustang forums to see what goes on in there forums and ran across a thread about a shootout with rcfb? i dont knwo what that is but something to do with f-bodies! anyway i replied to it and it still hasnt happened. they are still trying to get there people and having hard time finding f-bodies! well anyway they are wanting to do it when the weather starts cooling off but that aint till december in this damn state. maybe somtime in late september? and they are trying to get 2 lanes just for us, so that would be real cool. first they were saying jax but now possibly gainesville. either way i am in orlando and i would actually rather go to another track then orlando speed world, want to see how much better i can at these tracks.

I live in Deltona, work in Lake Mary, and shoot pool a lot at Clicks in Casselberry...

After the exhaust, I will probably get a new lid, maybe CAI and smooth bellow. That will likely be all I will do.. Dont feel like messing with things to much.

We should really get some sorta events going here. Even if it is just meeting up somewhere on certain nights. I am tired of reading about all the Texas meets.. Why dont we have that kinda thing going on over here in FL... Come on FL people.. Lets step up to the plate and get something going...

 

Audiopro, what does your car look like? I live in Debary - black LS1 Z28 w/ SLP dual/dual exhaust & dark tinted windows.

As for a FL event.... I'd love to see an efi nat'ls type event put together. Break it down by class, any RWD domestic car allowed so long as it's efi. It would make for some really good racing... stangs, f-bodies, vettes, lightnings, TR's, and hybrids. Oh well... just a "pipe dream" until some sponsors step up and show interest in such an event.

 

Yo... I have a 2001 Black Z28 with T-Tops... Right now everything is stock, but I got in on the GMMG GP so I will proudly be sporting a new exhaust soon.

Nice though, another LS1 owner right around the corner!!! Wanna help with my GMMG install.. lol...

I am sure we could all start hitting some common places at the least... Would be nice to see a line full of Camaro's at a Hooters , or wherever...

I know what you're saying about a meeting place... I'm growing tired of Kmart plazza on Saxon Thursday nights. Too mcuh rice, drama, etc. I'm thinking the new Wing House over in Sanford as an alternative. It would be nice to have a domestic only meet over at a place like that.

It has been a while since I have swung by the ricers in that parking lot.. One thing that sucks lately is the police activity... They are everywhere on I4 because of construction. And the few short stretches we have in Deltona area are pretty saturated also. So any racing is not a smart move.. But just gathering somewhere I would not think would be to big a deal...

Any other F-bods in the area willing to make a night of it?

Amazingly enough... we still manage to get off a few races here & there. But, we are very choosy about when and where it happens. I'm sure I could round up a few guys... there's a gold 98' Z28 that goes up there, a red 02' WS6 TA, my car, a pewter 99' SS, and a red 00' SS. Plus Mark w/ the white LT1 TA from Lake Mary drops in sometimes.

There are a few stangs that go up there... none that ever race though. They prefer to rev and make victory laps through the parking lot.

 

Figures... Seems Stang owners now a days are polish and shine kinda guys, not turn a wrench and lay down some rubber, types...

Ugh, I hate going out on school nights (j/k I'm 29)... But work nights in general are a bitch to get the energy.. Being old sucks.. I will head up there this Thursday though for sure. What time?

 

Eh... I usually show up around 9:30-ish. I stay about an hour - and then call it a night. The crowd is kinda young... but it's interesting to say the least.

Just look for a black Z28 w/ ugly factory wheels and tint. I usually park on the side of the parking lot closest to the road.
