Push underway to close New Smyrna Beach to beach driving!
The wife and I went to New Smyrna this weekend for a stay at the beach. For those who don't know, New Smyrna is about 20 mins south of Daytona. Nice beach town that's more low keyed/less touristy than Daytona. It's where alot of Central Fl locals go to enjoy some sand. One of the great things about New Smyrna is that for $5 you can drive out and park right on the beach. We were suprised to find out that there is a push underway to ban cars from the beach.
