Out of curiousity...

Anyone know a shop that woudl do a T-top conversion?

Jsut curious on the prices and such... I know I coudl get most parts from TAcreationsusa.com and woudl be easier if I could do it in south florida...

gasp I am actually thinking of keeping this car a little longer... and maybe aim for a '05 GT instead of a '04.... might be easier for me to do money wise. Especially if I decide to stretch school out like I am planning.

AS in its an upgrade to my v6, and unless you search long an hard its hard to find an ls1 for what its worth(I am sure anasazi will agree with me)

besides this in my 3rd Camaro, thinking of switching it up.

I guess I can see your point. I suppose buying three cars of the same type would indeed get old.

I had initially decided to keep my car stock until I could upgrade to a newer model, before realizing that that would be pointless, and have since started to plan my mods for the Z I have now.

I own my fourth camaro and want more. (first and second gen) By 2005, LS1's will be even cheaper. Much to my horror. My camaro is almost as nice as the day I picked it up fresh off the car hauler, and it is worth half with less than 50k miles on it.

My wife has a Mustang, and although knock on wood it has never let us down, the customer service before during and after sale sucked hardcore. Bad enough she will never want another Ford unless it is an early Mustang...

Don't hack your car. Enjoy no t-tops and strong chasis until you can trade it for another F-body...

I probably won't do a conversion on my car but just entertaining the idea. Main reason for not doing it, woudl be money.

I have searched for f-bodies before... I am sure f-bodies will be cheaper but they will all most likely be upper mileage one like lt1s are now. I am highly doubting my next car will have more then 60k on it.

and on average seems most people want a fortune for their f-bodies...

As for GM, I have had GM **** me over in situations before...

And like I said I am in teh mood to try something different, I love F-bodies but thinking I wanted to take a peak into the Ford world.

As much as I hate to utter this blasphemy here, why not buy a used WRX, get a few hundred bucks in minor modifications and blow us ALL into the cheap seats?

I have thought of that too... but I am sure WRx will hold there value more with the import phase people are int, and I am twice as leary on a higher mileage used turbo car then a used n/a car. Plus, I have always wanted the sound of a Msutang

Whenever I bring up Mustangs, peopel alwasy say, ohh everyone has one, but that really doesn't bother me, I figure people would realize I don't care what other think of my car its what I like about it, hence all the v6s and I haven't gone nutz yet.

Either way we really got sidetracked on the original topic, I have an idea but nothing is set in stone... I may not get a car till like fall '05, like 1.5 years from now, for all I know all I can afford is a '83 90hp 2.5L 4-banger 3rd gen Camaro, or I can afford a nice C5

Jsut curious on the costs of t-tops, if it coudl be done for less then $500 I might consider it but I assume having someone do the work is gonna cost alot more, but I figured worth a try

I have to be honest, I just can't see the conversion getting done for less than five c's, unless you already have the tee-tops, like from a wrecked donor car. Then I'd think it's possible.

I'm definitely gonna change it up a little bit with my next car. It won't be for about 2 years though. Not gonna buy a sports car at all, I'm gonna get a Tahoe.

As for the camaro, I'm gonna keep it around put a TT set up on it and drive it on the weekends.

As for the price of the T-top conversion...I'll do it for $50. We'll call it a "learning experience" Sound good?

Well now you know why I'm keeping mine! Even in a couple years when I have a new car, the Z is still going to be my weekend ride. My girl loves it, so course this is added incentive.
