Norris Motorsports cam install....
Norris Motorsports cam install....
Has anybody ever had a cam install at Norris Motorsports?? I'm just curious how much he charges for a cam swap, or really how many hours does he charge for a swap??
Thanks....
Thanks....
Re: Norris Motorsports cam install....
I had mine installed there. They did an great job. Price really depends on the cam you want. I got the Comp Cam 226/230. I had to upgrade to the dual springs and better pushrods. He also had to dyno tune it as well. I picked up 40 rwhp with just the cam. You can go with a milder cam and not have to mess with springs and pushrods. As far as price on just install you should talk to Mike Norris.Him and his crew in my opinion are the best around.

Well, I already have the cam and valve springs. I just need him to swap my cam out and install the springs for me.
I went with the MTI G1 cam and comp cam 918 valvesprings. So, I'm quite sure it should be a simple cam swap.

Well, there have been instances where the lifters don't stay in the trays. I would go the route of supporting them with small-diameter rod and not worry about digging in the oilpan - if you're doing it yourself.
Most shops charge ~10 hours labor if they need to R&R heads. Best to call Mikey and ask.
