Post New place to meet friday nights

I have a new location for the friday night meets since BT Grinders closed up.

Show me the interest on meeting at the Bridgewater Market place. This place is on 50 heading towards the track about a mile after Alafaya just pass the 408 overpass on the right hand side. It is a Winn-dixie shopping center. The parking lot is pretty large and their is 3 rest. to pick from, Pasquale's(Italian), Subway and a Chinese place. We would park on the side of the rest. away from Winn-Dixie. I was figuring about the same time, about 6:30 till whenever. What do you all think? Also should this be an every friday night meet, once a month, twice? Should we start this friday night or wait till next week. The three rest. would love the business(if you want to eat).

Well give me your opinions.

John

I'm backing John up on this one. I wanted to meet here in the first place but hadn't recieved mail back from John (apparently he did respond though [stupid AOL]). John, I'm willing to come out this friday for a lil' r&r but I wouldn't be able to stay ALL night. Maybe 2 hrs though. Hey, forget Subway and "Chinese Food", we're all eatin at Pasquale's!

Just a thought....i work in Research Park just off Alafaya and always notice hella traffic in that direction. Never drove that way at that time, but ppl i work with live out in Wedgefield and they say traffic gets pretty backed up. Then again they leave around 5:30 or so, maybe less traffic by 6:30. Just a thought!

well if you take 408 to coloniol, you will run into some traffic but only for about an mile. Since this place is jsut past the 408 overpass.

And if you are coming from North of Mculloch, there is a short cut thorugh some neighborhoods, that goes waay behind campus in Research park.

The short cut isn't faster thn taking alafaya and colonial on a good day, but its 10Xs better then alfaya and colonial at rush hour.

If traffic is such a problme is it tha hard to switch it to Saturday nights? Won't lose as many people to hte drag strip.

either way, I won't make it, first, my car is not really "show" quality in any way, and second I work pretty much every sat and sun.

you go down past the firestation, then down to a 4 way stop sign, take a right, go down that road for a bit, it curves to the left, then make the right hand turn after the road curves left.

drive down that you go over speedhumps, (if any of you guys have problems, with groundeffects and such, they are not harsh, but a warning)

-follow that road down its like a 45 mph limit 2 lane road, through a niehgbor hood after a few speed humps, goes all the way to colonial. YOu pop out jsut east of the 408 overpass. I take it as a short cut to the track and to waterford (you make a left at woodbury, the first left after the 408 overpass to get to the back of waterford.)

Mustangeater82: My mother in law/brother in law are the owners, I work there sometimes doing odd things. I could check with him if he is interested. also your car really doesn't have to be in show condition, we are just hanging and bsing for now.

95blackbird: the address anasazi gave is correct. east on 50 past alafaya under the 408 overpass and it's on the right.

Anderson: it can be an every friday night event, we will see the response to do so or we can do every other and also cruise to another location in casslebury the other times.

If friday nights is not the best night, we can move it to sat. the following week.

Traffic should not be a real problem at 6:30.

See you all there around 6:30.

1995redZ28: if you are coming from alafayia trail, go east on 50, go under the 408 overpass, go past the BP and Ractrac gas stations on the right and there is a Winn-dixie shopping ctr right after them. We will be in there around 6:30, as long as it doesn't rain. This is the first time we are getting together at this location, so I'm not sure how many will be there, but as time passes and weather improves, hopefully the attendence will pick up.

Well, hope to see ya later.

John
