Need Someone To Look At Some......

I need somebody to look under your hood and tell me something. On the back of the cylinder heads there is a steel line that runs to the Trottle Body.I need to know after the throttle body where does it go???Does it tee into the heater core line?to the reservoir? or straight to the radiator?? I really need to know!!

THANKS

which engine?

on my LT1, i don't remember anything except soft rubber hoses going into the throttle body.

there is a hard metal line for the EGR that goes into the back of the intake manifold. it has its own place to attach into the intake manifold, and the other end goes somewhere down on the exhaust system i forget where.

Steam tubes...

The steel line that connects the cylinder head water passages on the backs of the heads does indeed crawl along the passenger side of the LT-1 and then turns into the throttle body with a rubber elbow. It then comes out of the other side on the front of the throttle body and goes into the radiator. When people do the TB bypass mod, they usually just run the hose from the radiator into the metal tube from the back of the heads.. on a 97 it does not tee into any line.

PS: This is certainly true for a 95-97...the 93 and 94 had some different hose configuration, and I am not sure if it affected the cylinder head coolant line.

Sorry it is for the Lt1 motors and I am looking for 93-96 years the reason why is I have an Lt1 in a 63 vette and I am not running the lt1 radiator so there is not a place to hook it up to. I have been reading about the reverse flow cooling systems and have read that the F-bodys probably the earlier years, that after the throttle body the line tees into a heater line and on the caprice, and impala it runs into the reservoir tank.I have worked on several impalas and they all went to the reservoir so hopefully the earlier F-bodies did tee into the heater hose,I just want to make sure. Hey anasazi were does the line go ? even if you bypassed the throttle body it still has to hook up somewhere

the car is outside right now, but i'm pretty sure that...

the metal line i'm not sure where it goes behind the block, all i know is it goes back there somewhere and it can bend strangly well.

the rubber part goes from the metal line that runs along the passenger side of the intake manifold over to a connection just under the filler neck on the radiator.
