MSCC February autocross event

Location: Tavares
When: Sunday 2/8/2004

I just got a reply from national champ Sam Strano confirming that he will be there too. Won't it be cool if an FBody competes for top time of day?

Everyone welcome. Free to watch. $30 to compete.

Se my website for videos of what it's like.

Yeah, I guess it is still $25. But bring an extra $5 for hot dogs, hamburgers and BBQ sandwiches from the "Pink Pig".

btw any chance you have a vid of me? and possibly AIM? You don;'t have to post it up or even compress it but if I coudl get a copy I woudl be very grateful, but if its alot of trouble don't sweat it.

When I did shot put it was always alot easier to see what I needed to improve on by watching myself on tape. And god knows I need to improve

I was hoping he would stick around for another day. That is great news.

I bit the bullet and ordered some 17x9.5 ZR1 replicas and a set of Kumho V710's in 275/40 17 so I'm going to have some new shoes for the event. I couldn't let you have some bigger rubber than me Chuck. This all being in the spirit of the "Keep Trying" award so graciously bestowed upon me.

Sweet, looking at things I might be able to make that day!

MY zr1s will defintely put me out of stock right? If so I have a STB floating around I might just throw in.

Damnit Jeff, you're the reason I just (literally) bought a set of four polished, unblemished ZR1 17x11 replicas off e-bay moments ago

Where did you order your V710's from? I was going to tryout the V710's as well. They're being advertised as the be-all, end-all tire...but the jury is still out. CCW carries Hoosiers at a better price than Tire Rack, but I didn't inquire on how much better the prices are.

Oh, I guess that means I won't be bringing any more spectators to the races due to lack of space.

Sorry Jim but as a fellow recepient of the "keep Trying" award I thought that was your motivation. I thought about going the 17x11 route but that would knock me out of GTP. Of course if I'm the only one left in GTP then I might have to step up to GTR with the rest of the gang.

I orderd my 710's from Tire Rack so we'll see if they are all they are cracked up to be. I got the 17x9.5's off ebay as well they are AFS replicas.

Sam told me that if it happens to be raining, that he's not driving his car and will be looking for a loaner to use. I'm taking the Phase I again the day before to get some more pointers.

No worries, mate! Sorry, I was hanging out with some Aussies on a boat today.

Don't worry Jeff. I'm staying in GTP after last months beating. That's where I belong till I get heads and cam anyway.

BTW - I will be at the phase 1 school too. Should be fun. I'm not running my Victos though. I'm gonna bring my old Yokos for the school and save the expensive rubber for actual race use.

Congrats on the new wheels and tires guys. See you next Saturday.

Phase I is on the 7th, and MSCC on the 8th, no? I'm not sure I can skip any SuperBowl for an event

Hmm, this comment makes me think they ought to be saved for national events or end-of-year MSCC events.

In addition to looking like pro-level racing tires, ECSTA V710 tires perform like them as well, trading longevity for performance. Achieving the best performance requires that fresh ECSTA V710 tires be used as their performance level will drop off after a typical race weekend’s use.
I think I'll opt for the V700's until you tell me how long your money lasts

He is welcome to drive my car provided it makes it though the school in one piece.
