It's not uncommon for a rarely available car to be marked up over $6,000 above what it should be when you see it on a car lot.

 

hah! when i was looking it didn't even have to be a rare car ... just 4 wheels and an engine and all the local dealers marked it way way way up.


mcnamara pontiac is real bad about that, but watch their years. 2002-2000 f-body's are easilly 6 grand higher stickerprice than the 98-99's

 

Good luck, it is always a good idea to leave a cusion in the price to deal. I can't wait till I put mine up for sale later this year, everyone will **** a brick when they see the asking price though, which I will expect.
