May have to sell 00 Z28

May have to sell my 00 Z28. 56K miles. Went in service 10/99. Av 12400 miles a year.
Black with t-tops.
Grey leather interior.
Power everything.
6 speed.
CD player.
All stock except SLP Lid and shifter.
SS wheels and F1 tires. 1000 miles on tires.
Body excellent. Two small door dings. Very small.
No scratches, no tears in leather, leather not worn hardley at all.
Very clean never smoked in.
Going to ask about 17K.
Fair price?

Those books are all right, but you have to add in the "have to have" factor for these types of cars.
If the "blue book" says its worth 12K doesnt mean Iam going to sell it for that little.
I have seen similar cars at dealerships for close to 20K.
You may find some from private owners for less then mine, but Iam will to deal alittle.
Plus many of them are heavily modified from what I have seen for sale. Heavily modified ususally means beat on pretty hard as well.
Iam older than most Z owners and have a Pro Street car too. So I have no need to beat on it.

I would lower that asking price a bit if I were you. There is absolutely no way you'll get 17K for it. I would expect to get somewhere in the range of 13-15K for it. Just my $0.02

oh...and everybody beats on their Z, you're preaching to the wrong choir here.

From a private party that may be a bit much, but my local dealer wanted $19900 for a 2000 Automatic NBM T/A with 46k

just an FYI

got my car at a dealer on 4/1/2004

42,900 miles

near perfect paint, interior, newer tires

no mechanical problems

its a real 1999 camaro SS

no wrecks, no body damage at all, maybe one tiny tiny scratch you don't notice unless you wax the car

picked it up for 13.9k .... 15k out the door

local dealers are incredibly high and most will move a bit on their price.

btw, they were asking like 18,000 for it ... but i got it for 15k out the door

i generally know what these cars go for, i looked like a hawk for 2 months so i know which dealers are generally more expensive and which arn't, and how much they're actually getting for their cars.

15k for a 99 SS? Which dealer was that at? They have any T/A's in stock?

If so, I wonder if they would give financing to someone that's been working a new job for 3 months and has NO credit history?

I got approved for a loan from "Orlando Used Car Superstore" but I have a feeling after i fax him a paystub it'll fall thru.

How about a 99 TransAm w/8,500 miles for $15,000 then you just go get a loan by yourself? Not my car, but I want it-6 speed, leather, t-tops, everything

I'd have to slap a WS6 hood on here though

I paid $14k for mine, last summer. 2000 Z28, just about all options (power everything, monsoon, leather, t-tops, etc.). 29k miles, perfect condition. No offense, but I don't think you'll get many prospective buyers asking 17. Maybe start around 15????

I was thinking 15K but you gotta to ask alittle high and let someone talk you down alittle.
I may just refinance.

i'd say your type of car is selling for about 13.5k - 15k on the private market

if you had a LOADED SS... with good miles you may get 17K..... or a clean convert... but like most people here you will be lucky to get 15K.... I would guess....less.

just think new that car is what 26-27?
