I love my 02 Z28 but I no longer have faith in my mechanic. 118K miles, averaging about 6K a year last 4 years. I take it to a local shop & the guy has been great...but...he lost his lead mechanic, a guy who was really into Camaros, about a year ago.
So now, the owner works on my car and I think he really screwed it up last week. He admitted that he could not do certain things and without going into detail, I spent almost $1,000 (between him + a transmission guy he sent me to) last Wednesday & 1 mile from shop the SERVICE ENGINE light came on. I am bringing it back to him Monday, but I have to find a new mechanic.
Any suggestions? I live north of Fort Lauderdale.
