John's New Time

We went Friday and John Ran
15.81 in his 96 bird.

50PSI Fropnt Tires
28PSI Passenger Rear
29PSI Drivers Rear

Checked each run and adjusted

Iced his Intake and Plenum

Only thing removed spare tire.

He also ran a 15.86 beating his personal best. His frist run was, GET THIS 18.31, YES 18.31!!!!!!!

He can bring it down...

he should really talk to this one guy I met there, he has squeezed his 97 Camaro into the high 14s... with his stock open diffy 3.08 rear...

Did he spin on the 18 run, I remember once he went in fornt of me at the track, I saw him light the right rear up and poor out a plum of smoke, scarred me enough to ease the launch so much I bogged and almost stalled.

He spun so bad that he had rubber on his rear quarter panel, it took a whole can of tar remover to get it clean. He beat a gt on his 15.86 run and barely lost to a firehawk on his 15.81 run. But he did hit the rev limiter on his last run.

I have heard that stuff is not so good for your motor.

really? I plan to go to mobil one full synthetic when my oil change comes up. should he just use that? He currently uses a synthetic blend.


IMO redline has a some good oils out there.

I heard mobil one is good. I may be worng abotu royal purple but anyways isn't that crap like $6 a quart?

Currenty I go by my computer, it has an oil life gauge, well after 3K I am at 57% life left so until it says change I plan to keep it. Most GTP owners do the same, susposedly the GTP is easy on oil. The manual says 5K to 7500 per oil change. I would go 5K with sythetic so @4.50 per quart it would not be to bad for a better product IMO.
