how long is OSW going to keep open?

I know they shut down and usually resurface(paint assphalt black to look like it was resurfaced) in the december time.

Anyone know how long they are staying open for this year, I am close to getting the time I want, like less then 0.03 close. I need to get some more runs in.

If I remember right in previous years they close in mid-December and reopen a month later in mid-January.

I think the track closes down around December 17th or 18th (something like that) and re-opens January 15th (or something like that). The other night as you paid to get in, they were passing out little flyers with that information on it.

You want to go a little faster? Go to Gainsville. The racing surface is much better. And better lighted. For me its worth the extra hour drive. Plus Ive got a buddy that lives about 20mins away. I can sleep at his house if I dont want to tow back. Hate to say it after all these years. But Carl and Randy can close that track anytime and stay closed.

Their website is:

http://www.speedworlddragway.com/

The schedule there says Dec 20th is the end for 2002.

First night for 2003 is Jan 15th.

Later ... Larry S.

Isaid that speedworld sucked but then when i got to thinking about it yea its not the best around but its alot better then racing on the street and alot safer ...and besides if that track was not around here alot of us would have no reason to work on ours cars and alot of us woud justit around doing nothing but watching tv on friday nights !!! so i think that speedworld is ok ...and also why would u waste ur money to goto midnight drags if u wanna try and beat a time if you didn't kno that they where no time runs
