Help John with fbird problem

John has a headlight motor that doesn't work, there is power getting to it. When he turns his headlights on the one motor works fine, the other makes no noise and doesn't work. Is there anyway to check the ground of the motor that is not working. He wants to check all options before having to buy a new headlight motor. Send all suggestions to Sarkj@ocps.net

Is there a power lead wire? for the window motor? Can he just jump a wire from the batt to the power of the motor and see if it opens it up? Do you guys have a test light you could also just see if the motor is getting power.

I don't know much about the flip up headlights...

Is there a relayor fuse for each motor?

If it makes a terrible noise while its trying to do open, chances are the gear is stripped.

if the gears are stripped you can use the other side of the gear. mine were like that and i manually spun the gear to use the other side and they have been working fine. the motor only uses 180 degrees of the gear, while the other 180 doesn't get touched. you can rotate it to use the "new" section on the gear and it will work fine.

after checking out this page i found out brent makes replacement gears. this will be a permanent fix to the problem.
