Cool

Nope. I just got done putting LCA relocation brackets on a friend's Firehawk. We were talking about going to Bithlo sometime soon. Neither of us have helmets.

It would be nice to have one for autocrossing too. I'm getting tired of the loaner helmet ordeal. That's all.

BTW we will be renting out Gainesville raceway in October.
Did I say ?

Registration will be 1st come first served for 150 entries with preregistration online starting next month.

We're expecting to drop several thousand dollars for the one day at Gainesville. The only reason we are is because every October, it's tradition to have what's called a 'mini-prix'. It was always a high speed, extended length course. The idea is to get the big V8's (and what the heck, Mustangs too) out and stretch their legs. We hardly ever get half way into 2nd in a normal course. Gainesville isn't too far and Palm Bay isn't big enough. Expect to pay more for entry fees than the usual $25 however. Talk is that it will be around $50 for nonclubmembers. But it will include free food and T-shirts for the first 100 entrants. Maybe all 150. We are gonna have one heck of a blast.

Hear this Jen? You'd better bring that Firehawk out? Along with the rest of the Gainseville gang.

$50 ackk... I need to become a member next month, freaking $50 for non-members!

Personally It hink I will do better at that type of racing anyways over all, I think the bigger cars will performa better at higher speed stuff like this.

I sort practiced more of this stuff then the low speed autxing stuff we do.

Lets jsut hope those straight aways are nto too long. not sure if the 3.4l will have enough power to get into the toehr gears.

There will be cones for slaloms on most of the straitaways. I doubt we'll be hitting 75. But the Event Chairman for the mini-prix is always George Bonafede. He used to own the yellow Z06. He and his girl friend Jackie Green usually drive her silver 99 C5 convertible. Word is that he's bringing his garage queen out for this one. It's a souped up ZR1 that's supposed to be really wicked. So it won't be a slow tight course like it usually is. I promise that.

On a side note, wanna see the course I've designed for this month?

It's a pretty open and flowing course with lots of seat time. The miata guys are gonna b!tch! The big Chevy's are gonna have top time of day again.

Big chevy's? Bah! My 350ci Pontiac will crush your measly 346ci Chevy!! lol...

But seriously, it looks like a good course. I'll definately try to make it out this month!

P.S. Are they still offering loaner helmets or do I need one of my own?

Oh yeah. Everything's still the same. I just figure that since I go every month I should graduate myself to be an actual helmet owner. I need it so I can go to Bithlo anyway.

You run in GT Prepared right? I'll be in GT Stock this month since I got my 16" race tires finally. They're actually street tires. But they're only being used for racing. Yokohama AVS Intermediates. I almost won GTP last month completely stock with the Goodyear F1's. I finished 2nd by 0.08 seconds. GRRRRRR! I'm bringing home a trophy this month.

Yep, I should still be in GT prepared since nothing has changed on the car since you drove it. I am saving up for some new wheels/shocks/swaybars though

Did you decide against the Hoosiers? Cant say I blame you. They're waaaaaaaaaay too expensive IMO.
