Exclamation Fuct with the wrong Supra tonight

Yeah well, saw a drop-dead gorgeous Black 96ish Supra on Alafaya tonight and got up next to him. Gave'em a lil 2nd gear downshift and blip. He caught on fast, downshifted and stayed @ my door w/ his nose. I wanted him to take the jump so it'd be "fair". He got the hint and hit it. Bam!I jumped on his **** right away and was dead even w/ him...until he came into the boost range. He left me like a raped ape, and I was movin. We're talkin like if WillyBoy "walked briskly" from me last week, this guy was an olympic triathelete. This thing had like 11+ inch wide wheels in back, an exhaust w/ a GODLY Ferrari-like zen, and a blow-off valve that could wake the dead. I finally caught up to him and asked him what he ran...."Oh, 11.2.....ish"!!! As in put the $$$ on the table w/ another 11.2 car and get your **** wasted. I think I coulda taken him....from the line.....with a 1/2 second start.....w/ a little tuning......w/ a 50 shot of nitrous....maybe a 75.......on top of the 50. Summary--NEVER EVER had my A$$ handed to me like this before. I'm not believing the 11.2 for a second especially when he told me he dynoed @ "just over 550 @ the wheels.......w/ the old turbo.......w/ 3lbs less boost."

NICE!

its possible.... Supras are not for there 1.4mile times they are known for there gobs and gobs of HP.

A supra on the roll is a formidable foe.

For the record there was a pair of supras awhile back at OSW, black one and a redone, both ran 10s.

My old roomate and I ran a white one on university about 10min after we finished his Hotcam install.

From a stop we got the jump on him and stayed ahead about 5 sec. After he had some boost built up all you heard was turbo and BOV as he blew right past us.

My car seemed a little "inadequate" after that encounter.

Hehe, it is true they are a interesting creature.

I raced one back when i just had exhaust/gears, and had a newer supra off the line by a few car lengths then at about 65mph he flew by me like i was standing still.

Pull over and the car is gutted and he said he is running 18psi.

I have the guys phone# and am going to call him out with my new setup I think i'll have rufly 350-400 more rwhp now.

Hmmm, did you happen to notice if the car had a bra on or if it had SUPRA in red letters across the windshield? Just curious who's it was. Yea supra's are not something to be taked lightly. I don't know from first hand experience, but I've heard some amazing things.

lol, funny to bring my name up.

Actually a Supra is the only car that I have lost to on the street.. It was a white supra with a body kit and 25psi!!!!!
Anyway, we raced and he pretty much walked me without too much trouble.
This was before most of my mods but this guy would still hand it to me today.
We pulled over and talked.
He dynoed 750 and I saw him the following week at the track running 10.7's at insane mph so I didnt feel too bad that he had beaten me.
I will be looking for that black one though

Actually I am in the UCF area a lot.

The TA is white with a windshield banner that reads "SLP Performance"

I have a license frame that reads

The faster I go...
The louder she screams!

We met "Steve" with a black Supra at the FCC show @ Mall of the Avenues, his dyno sheet on display (from Vinci HiPerf) was around 750 on the graph.

I did not bother to ask if that was RWHP or crank, it just don't matter at that level.

pretty cool guy, he said the F-bodies are pretty good guys to play with, except too many of us now know about the Supra's.
he was looking for more power out of a down pipe (his was ~2 3/4) and some other basic mods. said same turbo he has made ~850 on other cars, and he should be in that range with his next round of mods.

he did say we had a nice looking SS though, so all in all, a cool guy with a real Hoss of a car.

I'll keep an eye out, its hard to tell the LS1s that can really move vs the pretty quick ones.

Hey 94 Trans am, If you want to mee tup sometime maybe go to the track or something just let me know.
It'll be fun to race.

I really have a hard time finding REALLY REALLY fast cars to race around here although I know there are plenty. I am always cautious now when approaching supras.

BTW, what 1/4 mile times are you turnin'?

Yea ***** Boy I will actually be in town this weekend getting my car ready for a big supra meet in Tampa next weekend. I am gonna roll out somewhere tomorrow night with a few other friends who have some quick supras as well. I haven't had it to the track yet because I need some drag radials, I really don't want to be like other owners who run 13 flat at 120mph. It will be on the dyno next weekend so i will let you know some rough numbers. If you wanna meet up maybe friday night let me know. I don't think my car is fast enough yet to take a heads/cam TA but who knows, if not I got plenty of friends.
