Post dyno tune / burn chip in Jax?

I need a chip made for our '93 with a Cam,heads & headers, and I would rather have it made for our car and tested than buying one thru the mail.

Is Orlando the nearest town to get that done?

tks

dave does an excellent job, as ken and myself can attest to. the chips are a little more tricky than PCM's, but he does those too.

well, please provide your feedback before I drop bank with the guy.

I mean, did he completely mess it up? (I have one chip with a 3500 RPM cutoff - WTH?)

Or was it just not the expected results?
and did he try to please you and stand behind his work?

Or, I had one friend who NOBODY could please, and he Beooootch'ed about everything, are you that picky, that his 75% effort did not satisfy your 100% requirement?

do you know what I am saying? Honestly, did he bum-dope you, or did he try to do it right to the best of his ability?

I can accept that you may have had a (personal?) difference, or whatever, but as long as the chip works better than what I have now, it should be all good, right?

And I understand that "Keith @ North Shore Dyno Tune and Dave work together" so that means Dave can go in there & set up shop & feel comfortable and take his time, that's what I wanted, not to be run out of the Dyno Shop halfway thru so they could play with some rice. That makes me more comfortable, doing it at a shop where he is welcome.

tks
John

this would fit.

fan's wouldnt turn on, had auto tranny codes, etc. he tried to program it again, but it wouldnt upload for some reason. he said i should try getting rid of the codes first. i sent my computer off to ed wright, and my fans started working again. i also didnt have anymore auto tranny codes.

there's another guy in yulee that thinks he has to rebuild his M6 because his shift solenoids are bad. he's getting a code 81 "Transmission 2-3 shift solenoid circuit" ... who's programming do you think he has?

there's another guy who paid for a portion of the burning hardware that he uses, and in return was suppost to get a portion of the profits from the business. he's never seen a dime from it.

anyway.... there's plenty more, but this was all a long time ago, you probably wont have any problems like this. he did do a good job on rumair's car, it seems to make pretty good power for his mods.

Yeh i think that may have been a while ago and is difrent now. He did come down beggining of the year and do a group dyno tune for i think about 8 of us including myself and all went well and everyone seemed happy with the results.

I will be driving up to use him again to dynotune the new setup in the sig in a few weeks.

aw-ite.

tks for the feedback. maybe he had a hard time getting it all going, and has a handle on it now.

it looks like he is the default local tuner/burner, but I'll query him good before we start, make sure he knows what the ins & outs.

it's the multiple problems with different cars that worries you. One car/one guy could be anything, but several problems means buyer beware. sounds like this was a while ago, though.

tks

i can't disagree with anything that chris posted. i'm well aware of the problems that dave has had with people in the past, but all i can tell you about is what my experience has been. i'm not sure if he's trying (or has tried) to work out the problems that chris mentioned, but he has always been first-class with me. i think my car runs better with his tuning that it would without. for me, the ability to do a dyno tune is the major selling point. obviously, this wouldn't apply for people who live far away.
