i currently have AT&T Wireless. i'm not unhappy with the service, but since my plan ended they cut my military discount dramatically.

i've found that t-mobile has the same plan for the same money i'm paying now, except they have an unlimited mobile internet option for 5 bucks more... i think i'm going to switch so i can get this option. i also get to re-use my old phone too so thats not a big deal.

how is t-mobile in this area? how is it around the country?

i like AT&T because they have the best coverage in the country ... kind of worried about losing that with t-mobile.

 

I have T-Mobile (in Atlanta) and I love it.

 

SprintPCS. I want Nextel since "everyone" has one with direct connect, but their coverage sucks. I have almost never had a signal with Sprint. No roaming fees... Half way over the gulf between Ft Meyers and Key West at 3000' in my plane I had a signal.....

 

I have Nextel and T-Mob... T-Mob is gr8 ive had them for 4yrs now back when they were voicestream never had 1 problem. went to the uk and the phone still was clear as day. now nextel ive had them for a yr got the i-95 phone all the rage ya know. well they suck driving threw winterpark the signal goes in and out, the t-way will go crazy on you depending what model phone you 2way.. i just havent had a good experience with nextel at all, and there plains are wayyyyyyy more expensive. i cant wait for my contract to end, but on the plus side, nextel said if i goto china, the phone will work, lmao

 

I'd recommend SprintPCS. I've been to Cingular, AT&T Wireless (The worst yet), Arial/Voicestream/T-mobile (AT&T shares their network so.....), and Nextel. I've kept service through all three hurricanes that hit Tampa so far, two dropped calls in a year, and pretty strong signals. Plus if you're into that walkie-talkie deal, they now have it. Works pretty good.

Both me and my Fiance have T-mobile....Ive been with them since Aug. of '02, and they are GREAT! great customer service, and great reception! We are on the family plan now, and we get 800 minutes, free nights n weekends, and free mobile- mobile for 69.99 a month. They also have other plans like 39.99 600 minutes, and free nights and weekends...I got the family plan, cuz everybody i know has t-mobile and we talk for free all the time! And the best thing, is they dont charge late fee's ever... You can pay the bill 1 month late, and they still dont charge you...they just send you a text message saying your bill is due, then that's it...after a month they start calling, but i haven't had that happen in a while Good luck making ur choice, but whatever you do dont get cingular...i worked for the company....their plans and phones SUCK!!! no reception anywhere you go....

 

I have nextel with an i830(the new small phone) and it works great...I live in Sun Key in winter park and always have signal.

 

I had Sprint PCS and switched to AT&T Wireless for 1 year, then just recently switched from AT&T to T-Mobile.

First let me say that sprint was decent but when I moved to my current residence I could not get signal here *at all* and I had to have it, so I switched to AT&T.

Then let me say that AT&T completely SUCKED. I will NEVER use ANY AT&T product ever again after how crappy their cell customer service was. They ended up owing me $150 that took over 9 months and approximately 18 hours on the phone with them to get back.

T-Mobile so far is AWESOME. I have service 24x7, the phone I got is GREAT, can play mp3s, etc, and I got it for -$100 (yes, i got PAID $100 to take it). I've called T-Mobile customer service twice and have not had to wait on hold at all, not even for 15 seconds, and this was at 2 totally different times.

So, so far so good.

If you really want T-Mobile buy your phone/service from amazon.com. I got the phone (which was $149.99) and the service, and then Amazon.com had a mail in rebate for $50 with T-mobile, and another one for $200 with amazon.com, for a total savings of $250 which made the phone -$100. Also my service is $10/mo cheaper than AT&T wireless for the same amount of minutes/features.
