anyone got a stock 1994-1996 camaro delco/bose CD headunit laying around?

preferably one that came out of a car with the U1T option code (5 speaker delco/bose + CD player setup, 1995 and 1996)

i *think* one that came out of a 1994 car with the 3 speaker setup will work as well.

mine no longer plays CD's at all.

how much are you willing to pay?

My dad knew of a place that remanufactureed GM stereos in south Florida, it was looking at $390 to get a regular GM CD player, and trade in our core, I said screw it and bought an aftermarket one but that probably doesn't work with the bose speaker setup.

But that was 3-4 years ago...

maybe check some junkyards, they always seem to have a million headunits in there office.

problem with junkyards is that the deloc/bose headunits are known to be crap, and seem to almost always lose CD functionality from what i can tell. if i baught one from a junkyard the CD might be broke leaving me screwed and they won't take it back.

there is a guy on ebay that rebuilds delco/bose headunits for 150 bucks, but this piece of junk isn't worth that much... you can get a cheap aftermarket headunit for that much

Yeha I jsut wan't sure with your Bose setup if it will work on an aftermarket headunit.

If it does go aftermarket, replaceing OEM stereos is ridiculously expensive.

I've got one out of my '95 Trans AM I bought it from a '97 Trans Am it has the pontiac symbol real little in the corner of it! It played regular cd's but it would only play my burnt cd's when it felt like it! It also has the equalizer on the front of it! It should work My Trans Am has the 8 speaker system and steering wheel controls. Make me an offer I can deliver it next weekend.

Save up and shell out for an MP3/CD player. It's worth the money. I ended up getting a bare-bones CD player with RCA in so I can plug in my iPod. MP3's rule.
